Don't come hungry.
If you haven't been .... GO.
It is a little pricey but it is worth it. there are a lot of things to do an see. I have been to a few festivals in several states. This one was much better organized and offers some great experiences. I would Highly recommend the Castle tour.
Got lost nobody would break character to help me to much walking up hill for my father. Was stuck there for an hour lost because of no phone service. Never going again.
Crowds seem large but if you get there super early or late in the day everything is fine and flows smoothly. Dressing up is fun and helps boost imagination.
The line for the castle tour starts early, if you want to see the castle make that your first priority and hit the other stuff after. It's an amazing experience, I've gone for 5 years now and it's always a great time.
There are port A jons
The castle tour is amazing, be respectful, its their home.
You will walk a lot, don't wear a heeled shoe if you can help it.
Great time, but don't bring a stroller as the terrain is rough, and they're not allowed on the bus to the Castle tour. Admission is steep, best time to go is on grandparents weekend. Need to do something about the food and drink lines. They get busy quick and stay that way. With little kids, we had to divide and conquer. Need more picnic tables. Please scrap the beer tickets--Have to wait in long lines twice for a beverage. The joust is great, love the costumes and games. We were happy the games are fairly inexpensive. Great people watching. If it is raining, expect mud and the parking area to be mushy. All in all, there are some yummy food options, they have beer and canned cocktails, and it is entertaining Would love to see some real bathrooms installed.
Excellent. That's really all I need to say though we wish there was a way to have it open different times of the year.
Everyone is writing reviews about long wait times for an ATM and how vendors only take cash....well you could have figured that out by actually visiting their website. It's not their fault you didn't take the proper steps. The vendors who take cards will note that on their tent. Otherwise, BRING CASH!
